Team USA Track and Field Athlete Brenda Martinez Stops by The Samsung Galaxy Studio in Olympic Park to Meet Fans and Test Out Technology

Team U.S.A. track and field athlete Brenda Martinez visited the Samsung Galaxy Studio in Olympic Park during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, taking a tour of the studio and experiencing Samsung’s latest wireless communications products such as Galaxy S7 / Galaxy S7 edge and Gear VR immersive technologies.

Team U.S.A. track and field athlete Brenda Martinez visited the Samsung Galaxy Studio in Olympic Park during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, taking a tour of the studio and experiencing Samsung’s latest wireless communications products such as Galaxy S7 / Galaxy S7 edge and Gear VR immersive technologies. Martinez, who overcame a setback in the 800 meters last month at the U.S. track and field team trials by qualifying for Rio 2016 just days later in the 1,500 meters, greeted fans during her visit to the Galaxy Studio. Martinez concluded her Rio 2016 competition by reaching the 1,500-meter semifinals.

Following her competition this week in Rio, Martinez was able to experience the Samsung Galaxy Studio, which opened last week in Olympic Park. The Galaxy Studio was specifically designed to help fans embrace the excitement of the Olympic Games and celebrate the Olympic spirit, enabling them to create, capture and share their own experiences. Martinez was able to demo immersive technologies such as a new high-speed roller coaster experience using the Samsung Galaxy smartphone paired with Gear VR that simulates the exhilarating event.

“I would probably have to say that I’m most excited about my Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition – it’s such a cool commemorative phone from Samsung,” Martinez said. “But the VR here in the Samsung Galaxy Studio is also out of this world. I might have to pick up kayaking after doing the virtual version of it. It seems like so much fun.”
