Samsung opened its three Samsung Galaxy Studios at the Lillehammer 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games giving fans the opportunity to feel inspiring and creating immersive experiences through innovative technology and Galaxy smartphones
On February 11, 2016, IOC President Thomas Bach visited the Samsung Galaxy Studio during the Lillehammer 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games and commented, “Samsung is a dedicated Partner to the Olympic Movement and supports the IOC in engaging young people worldwide through its cutting edge mobile technology and passion for sports. It is a pleasure to visit the Samsung Galaxy Studio here in Lillehammer and experience first–hand the virtual reality technology, which could be used at future Olympic Games as well.”

The Young Ambassadors program demonstrates just one of the unique elements of the YOG, along with the Young Reporter and Athlete Role Model initiatives. Samsung has pledged its support to the program by supplying a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ to each Young Ambassador, enabling mobile technology to enhance their YOG experience – sharing stories, interacting and promoting the YOG in their countries.
